Volkswagen Windshield Replacement in Dubai
- Correct Glass and Camera Calibration

Cracked or Chipped Windscreen on Your Golf, Passat, Tiguan, Teramont or Touareg?

Stones thrown up on Sheikh Zayed Road and Emirates Road chip windscreens every day, and Dubai’s heat makes a small chip spread into a crack quickly as the glass expands and contracts. Orange Auto replaces Volkswagen windscreens with the right glass for your model, including versions with a rain and light sensor, heated screen, acoustic layer or head-up display area. On cars fitted with a front camera for Lane Assist, Travel Assist or traffic sign recognition, the camera needs to be calibrated after a new windscreen is fitted, and we look after that as part of the job.

How We Replace a Volkswagen Windscreen

1. Damage Check

We look at the size and position of the chip or crack and tell you whether it can be repaired or the windscreen needs replacing.

2. Identifying the Right Glass

We use your VIN to find the correct windscreen for your car’s options, such as sensors, heating, acoustic glass and camera mounting.

3. Removing Trim and the Old Glass

Wipers, scuttle panel, mirror cover and sensors are removed with care, then the old windscreen is cut out without damaging the paint around the frame.

4. Preparing the Frame

The bonding surface is cleaned and primed, and any exposed metal is treated so rust can’t start under the new seal.

5. Bonding the New Windscreen

Urethane adhesive is applied and the new glass is set in place and aligned, then left to cure for the safe drive-away time.

6. Refitting Sensors and Trim

The rain and light sensor, mirror, camera cover and exterior trim are refitted and checked.

7. Camera Calibration

On cars with a front camera, the camera is calibrated so Lane Assist and other driver assistance features read the road correctly, followed by a check drive.

Warning lights after glass work? Our Volkswagen electrical repair team can diagnose them. Wind noise or water leaks around the frame may also need body repair.

What to Know About Volkswagen Windscreens

Repair Chips Fast

A small chip outside the driver’s line of sight can often be repaired. Left alone in the summer heat, it can crack across the screen.

Cameras Need Calibrating

Lane Assist, Travel Assist and traffic sign recognition rely on a camera behind the windscreen. A new screen without calibration can make these features unreliable.

The Right Glass Matters

Volkswagen windscreens vary with options such as heating and acoustic glass. Fitting the wrong one can cause sensor faults or distortion.

Allow Curing Time

Avoid car washes and slamming doors for the first day or two after fitting, so the adhesive cures fully.
